My purpose of travel was to explore the charming old village of Takayama, and K'S House was the perfect choice for my stay. I spent three nights at this cozy hostel and was impressed by several positive features. the room was immaculately clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. The lounge room had a wonderful atmosphere, creating a welcoming and relaxing environment. The staff were incredibly mindful, even waiting for my late check-in without pressuring me to pay immediately. Additionally, the hostel's location was ideal, being close to both the old village and the bus station.

Wi-Fi was reliable, and the staff were friendly and fluent in English. I had a great experience at K's House Takayama and would highly recommend it.

This made it extremely convenient for my day trips to Shirakawa Go and Kanazawa. I also enjoyed the lively atmosphere in the common areas, where I could interact with other guests.

That the staff were only on duty until 9.00 pm, which meant there was no immediate assistance in case of emergencies during the night. It would be beneficial if they could have an on-call staff available for nighttime emergencies.
